I’m working on this task. I think I cover most of the quadrants but can always improve. Very interested in the diversity in the octel members. I’ve got a feeling that the TEL world is sort of ‘divided’ by the two main paradigms. One more social, constructivist, autonomous, I suspect Octel has quite a few of these. And then the Intelligent Tutoring Systems world, datamining, etc. They even made two different MOOCs with so-called cMOOCs opposed to xMOOCs. I think it is necessary that both sides work together more and learn from each other, taking ‘the best of both worlds’. It would be really interesting to see people ‘crossing over’ to promote understanding.
