Hi everyone
Many thanks to my colleagues Julia Fotheringham and Karen Strickland who have been looking after ocTEL Week 2 so far. I’ve had the weekend shift, and although its been a little quieter than through the week there have been some definite highlights…
As we approach the end of Week 2, here’s a reminder of some things that should not pass you by…and if they did, they are worth catching up on!
First off, if you weren’t online for Helen Beetham’s excellent webinar around learner needs and digital literacies then please do view the recording here:

Secondly, you’ll have seen a few messages and tweets the last few days about completing the ocTEL participant expectations survey. Have you completed this? If not, pretty please do:

Finally, there have been some great blog posts this weekend. I’m still reading through them, but for now would like to give the nod to two in particular:
The first is from Jim Pettiward (@jimpettiward) with some good reading on the implications of digital literacies:

The second is from Alice Shepherd (@AliSheph) discussing the need to go beyond dig lit skills into attributes:

Both views offer much to think about and learn from, so lets do that!
Cheers
Keith
