This was a tricky task initially as It seemed hard to match the typology to a real example. Here goes : Yesterday I had to learn to use Blackboard collaborate not as a passive attendee but as an active deliverer of training to a group of online tutors.

I a. I know that blackboard collborate provides a virtual classroom.

1.b I know that BB is a synchronous rather than asynchronous tool.

2.a. I know how to set up a session and limit the number of participants.

2.b. I know how to solve access problems if students can’t access the site or if the audio is ineffective.

3.a. If a participant were to behave inappropriately, I would take action by excluding them from the classroom session by removing their name from the participant list.

    4. Other: If I want to master this tool and use it to deliver training to groups of online tutors, I know I have to overcome any fears regarding the management of a synchronous event. If I am highly motivated and the session goes well, I will feel positive  and build on the initial success to further develop confidence and skills.

Thank you for reading my thoughts.
