I looked at this example and the dentistry example using haptics (Margaret Cox). Both of these I found inspiring. Helen’s ARG was more about the cerebral than Margaret’s which was more about the physical. In terms a relevant Helen’s dealt more with issues of confidentiality and ethics in terms of students and also more widely in the community/world we live in. This I find more interesting and it forms and influencing thinking on the use on technology to teach. The risks taken I think we justified and students involved (and the staff!) will move forward with a memorable and informative life experience. They have learned skills of engagement and enquiry which will help them for the rest of their lives.
