"participatory learning"
I'm coming to participatory learning from just completing a PhD in Open Source Software Development, studying how to build a sequel to Wikipedia: a crowd sourced resource of learning material (rather than reference material). Very enthusiastic about the idea of collaborative learning. Have become involved in several related Google+ communities: Using Google Apps as a Free LMS (learning management system - 611 members) https://plus.google.com/communities/110147344160609001644 Online Learning Collective (101 members) https://plus.google.com/communities/112542481102501875677 Peeragogy in Action (326 members) https://plus.google.com/communities/107386162349686249470 along with starting Google+ communities for several MOOCs: Academia and the MOOC https://plus.google.com/communities/112243817982502760507 OCTEL Open Course in Technology Enhanced Learning https://plus.google.com/communities/101382199434711534938 (and others) and developing a platform, SlideSpeech, for web/mobile eLearning: http://slidespeech.com https://plus.google.com/communities/111737290066479067100 |
