Caroline Steel

Bio Caroline’s research and practice are focused on the integration of current and emerging learning technologies into university education. She is particularly interested in the role of teacher and learner beliefs and practices, affordance theories, learning design and learner and teachers’ digital literacies and practices. 
Her current research focuses on language students’ use of technologies outside class. Her PhD topic was the interrelationship between university teacher’s pedagogical beliefs, beliefs about web technologies and web practice. Caroline is currently President of ascilite (Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education).
