My formative work experience was in HE – apart from the use of video and BBC computers with my own students back in the 90s , my first substantial TEL experience began in 2000 and involved managing the newly introduced insitutional VLE for a major Northern UK University. At that time there were 300 users across the whole University – when I left 8 years later there were 35,000 registered users.
Since then – I have moved into a different sector and I am now using technology to enhance professional development for teachers and other staff in schools across a local authority.
