I think this may gather a head of steam as a hot topic and I hope we can make some progress on it. So often I find myself with like minded people who are despairing at their failure to engage more than a handful of staff in TEL initiatives.
I’m not sure if this is a good place to start but the latest JISC infokit on digital literacies has just hit my email & as ever has some helpful pointers. Could we take a look at the staff support section http://www.jiscinfonet.ac.uk/infokits/digital-literacies/practice/supporting-staff/ and see if anything grabs us? The importance of context struck me as quite a key theme – I’m not sure I pay enough attention to this. I will say no more because supper beckons. Back later
Thanks for sharing this link. I love the case studies in particular and appreciate that these could help staff. I’d love to create more case studies with staff within our organisation so that staff can be persuaded that it works within our environment. I think this is more persuasive than seeing someone else in another place who has achieved success- although this can inform those who are already interested and committed?
