I just checked and it is claiming that you have not yet accessed the map. Is your browser (or security settings) doing something weird?

Not a Pain Andy, well not yet anyway…

You have got author rights so you should just be able to jump in and make edits.

If you click on one of the branches or topics and hit tab you should create a child topic, if you hit enter you should create a sibling.

I take it that is not working for you?

    Understood completely.
The badges used here are certainly not fully configured Open Badges taking advantage of the Mozilla OBI, and that’s not a criticism, I haven’t ‘baked’ any real OBI badges yet either.
An important part of that OBI is the hard coding into the badge information and links to the issuer, the standards, the evidence etc. Doug…[Read more]

Likewise. We want to move some of our course into an online, or at least partially online format. We have plenty of volunteers, in particular, who can’t spend long periods of time at a central location to do their learning, and why should they have to!?

Having an online discussion about Open Badges on our national learning/social network and facing the inevitable point of view that they are childish, trivial and unnecessary.
There are lots of arguments against this of course, but what would you counter it with if you could make only one point?
Mine might be to ask who is judging the recognition…[Read more]

I recently started a monthly ‘lunch and learn’, held in the same room (TV Studio) at the same time and date each month (tomorrow in fact, so I’m going to miss the webinar this time around).

I haven’t themed it strictly along TEL lines, so far we’ve had a bit of TEL, some leadership stuff, behavioural economics etc.
Way too early to know if it is…[Read more]

    Hi Paul,

As I understand it Martin has decided not to use Credly to broker the badges from the BadgeOS plug-in. So they are ‘closed’ badges really.
You can do a copy and paste job, but I’m not sure you would get the benefit of the metadata?

I’m not suggesting it’s work that is not worth doing, but at the very least I need to design a series of badges with consistencies across the organisation, map them to national learning descriptors, create all the meta data to attach to them, install the platform to manage them, educate the organisation about them, work with the College of…[Read more]

    I’m doing the same Wendy,

I really want to spend this year exploring their use, or otherwise, in the police service. It’s all positive so far, despite the extra workload!
