Hi, I work as an Educational Development Officer at Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham and I absolutely LOVE my job. I thoroughly enjoy working with staff who teach across the College and am always interested in finding new ways to teach and support learning so as to incorporate these ideas into professional development sessions. My main professional interests include assessment and feedback, curriculum design, the development of academic skills such as writing, and finding new, motivating ways to teach and support learning. My background is in Linguistics and English for Academic Purposes at the University of Essex where I studied and worked from 1992 to 2010. I have four adult children and one grandchild; I Iive by the sea in Harwich, Essex and also with my partner in Godstone, Surrey so spend a lot of time on the dreaded M25! My personal interests include listening to music, travelling, cooking, reading, walking, films, and my old faithful labrador Marley.
