| Bio | I am a Senior Lecturer in Textiles and joined the University of Huddersfield in 2009 following 18 years experience in the clothing industry. My previous role as Technical and Sourcing Manager involved extensive travel sourcing and developing the supply chain to deliver innovative, quality products. Also additionally involved the responsibility for ensuring the environmental and ethical compliance; sustainable and ethical trading remains a research interest. I teach on modules relating to supply chain management, global sourcing, fabric performance and globalization. I am final year tutor for BA (Hons) Fashion & Textile Buying Management. I love the industry and want my students to enter it ready to be successful and help solve some of the challenges within it. Since joining the University I have completed a MA Professional Development (Higher Education). I am now studying towards my EdD (part-time). |
