									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Quite a while ago in an English for Academic Purposes course at a Japanese university we used <a href="http://www.ets.org/criterion/faq/" rel="nofollow">Criterion</a> as an assessment tool. I had no choice in using it and was skeptical at first, but soon really embraced it.</p>
<p>The software did a surprisingly good job at identifying topic sentences, supporting sentences or their lack.
