  I would guess that the range of experiences and preferences is massive and therefore a massive challenge. As I’ve alluded to in a recent blog post, I have dipped in and out of MOOCS previously, never finishing them, but taking a huge amount from what I did do.
  
  Last year, even as someone immersed in TEL, I found OCTEL overwhelming from the very start. I suppose, however, that the way OCTEL has clearly been refined this year demonstrates an important factor in running a MOOC – learning from your audience.
