I am a prinicipal lecturer working in my institution’s central learning and teaching unit. I have been supporting learning technologies for many years and refocused my role recently to distance and online learning. I also teach in Education (PGCert) at a distance and in blended mode. The teaching has been crucial for me as while I enjoy using technologies this only becomes “real” when you actually try and implement in teaching. Student feedback on activity design, online facilitation and related use of technologies has been a n important part of my experience and skill set.
